With just a few weeks to go to this year’s Commonwealth Games, GL events Field & Lawn Ltd is pulling out all the stops to ensure all the structures in its remit as an Official Overlay and Temporary Structures Provider for the XX Commonwealth Games are completed and ready for action.

The aim is to complete the build by 5th July, which then gives 17 days until the Games begin on 23rd July.

GL events Field & Lawn is building temporary structures at seven venues in Glasgow including at the Commonwealth Games Village that spans 25.2 square kilometres. It is also responsible for the specialist Polyclinic, a medical and care facility for athletes, and fitness centre as well as the Scotstoun temporary Squash Squash enclosure stadium, complete with grandstand seating.

Scott added: “It’s taken eleven weeks to actually build the structures but the discussions and planning began back in 2012 so to finally see the structures going up and the finishing touches being applied is a fantastic conclusion to what’s been a very successful project.”
