GL events has already begun the build on a project that will see the company deliver one of its most prestigious contracts for Jockey Club Racecourses at Cheltenham and Epsom. Work began in the Autumn on a phased schedule that will see new venues built in readiness for one of the most anticipated race meets of the season, the Cheltenham Festival, but that will also encompass five more national meets at the course.
GL events’ partnership with Jockey Club Racecourses includes both Epsom and Cheltenham racecourses and has grown over the last few years, as organisers continue to strive for the very best, premium temporary structures possible.
The team at GL events began building structures on the course, as major national events drew closer. The Showcase was the first of the major events at the course; however, The Open, also taking place in the Autumn, saw GL events more than double its provision of structures on site. Further temporary event buildings will continue to be built at Cheltenham ahead of the festival, with GL events supplying premium, single-deck, multi-deck, and brand new structures across the venue.

GL events will be building structures to provide the festival’s media centre, food court, chalet hospitality and corporate hospitality; as well as a number of trade stand areas on the racecourse. The structures will range from small boutiques, to multi-layer double storey and triple-decker venues, providing a luxurious experience and elevated views.
Each of the structures will include the latest technology, from automatic doors and heating, and will feature premium cladding and luxury interiors. The partnership with Jockey Club Racecourses will see GL events delivering best in class structures at Cheltenham and Epsom throughout the Summer.
