Sporting event specialist, GL events, supplied temporary structures to the European Open at London Golf Club, one of Europe’s finest golf courses, which hosted the Tour on its celebrated Heritage Course in 2008 and 2009.

On both occasions, the London Golf Club proudly hosted 90,000 spectators across the four-day event, during which spectators enjoyed a fantastic display of world class golf and glorious weather.

GL events, a major supplier of golfing events around the world, installed temporary event infrastructure including an expansive, 25m exhibition centre; a 24 x 25m media lounge, featuring a separate live interview suite; a range of peak-roofed administration tents, and a wide range of pop-up retail outlets and temporary stores.

Golf hospitality solutions came in the form of temporary structures housing various public restaurants and an upmarket brasserie, all complimented by temporary back of house and kitchen facilities; while a 16 x 55m temporary hospitality structure, featuring a smart peaked roof, was raised on concealed scaffolding to create superb views of the 18th green.

The GL events team received praise from the venue, media and players, while London Golf Club attracted record crowds for a European Tour event.
