GL events has supplied premium temporary structures to the Glamour Woman of the Year Awards, an iconic highlight of the UK showbiz calendar, for more than a decade.

The annual event, hosted by Glamour Magazine, takes place in Westminster’s historic Berkeley Square and honours extraordinary and inspirational women – as well as men – from a variety of fields.

Every year GL events installs 2,000sqm of temporary awards structures and pop-up party pagodas in order to create a sumptuous statement temporary dinner venue, suitable for more than 500 guests at the ceremony.

Structures supplied include a red carpet covered walkway and stylish reception hall, complete with a clear ceiling, to take advantage of the location’s beautiful and towering trees. We install a vast reception space complete with a transparent ceiling, and a black-out lined temporary awards and dining hall. These zones enclose a secret garden courtyard, lavishly decorated with floral displays.

In addition to this, we create media and photography zones, cloakrooms, washrooms and back of house areas including toilets, kitchens and staff facilities.

Following the most recent ceremony, Richard Dodgson, of creative agency, Timebased Events, the organisation responsible for producing the awards, commented: “Thank you very much for all your hard work on another amazing Glamour Awards. You all do such a great job to make the event look so amazing and run smoothly. The show was flawless and feedback from the client is superb.”

Central London’s Berkley Park features some of the oldest and best-loved trees in the city, which are carefully protected by GL events in the process of preparing the venue for one of the UK awards calendar’s most glittering events. Thanks to our diligence and reliability, GL events is the preferred supplier of temporary party structures for all events taking place in Berkeley Square.
