GL events is giving Disney’s hotly anticipated movie Cinderella the fairytale treatment by creating an exhibition hall in the middle of London’s Leicester Square for a unique ‘behind the scenes’ insight that opens at the film’s premiere.

The release of the new live-action version of the classic fairy tale hits cinemas in the UK on 27th March, with a star studded cast including Helen Bonham-Carter, Cate Blanchett, Derek Jacobi and Richard Madden (‘Game Of Thrones’) as the prince.

In honour of the film, Disney’s Cinderella Exhibition Presented By Swarovski  will give visitors the chance to enjoy the richly designed sets and original props up close, as well as the gorgeously detailed costumes by Oscar-winning designer Sandy Powell.

Disney will showcase its costumes for the wicked stepmother, Cate Blanchett, and the two stepsisters, as well as the stunning blue ball gown worn by Cinderella herself – played by Lily James from ITV’s Downton Abbey – will be the one to attract the most attention as it features on all the movie’s posters.

The main exhibition Absolute Eclipse structure spans 600 square metres of the busy Leicester Square with an additional 150 square metres dedicated to a shop for visitors to indulge in movie memorabilia. Both temporary buildings are completely wrapped with Cinderella branding so the experience begins before visitors even get through the door.

Set to be one of London’s hottest attractions this spring, Cinderella – the exhibition that is open until 9th April will see the beloved 1950 animated classic come to life and allow visitors enjoy some good old-fashioned fairytale magic.
