GL events is delivering more than 1,500sqm of temporary structures to the organisers of The Telegraph Ski Snowboard Show.

Telegraph Events, the organiser of London’s alpine festival, has called upon the temporary overlay specialist to deliver key infrastructure for the four-day event, which will be used as retail units and exhibition space.

The Telegraph Ski Snowboard Show is London’s largest consumer show for ski and snowboarding enthusiasts and takes place from November 5-8 at Battersea Evolution.

GL events’ Toby Bennett is project managing the install, which will include a number of Ultimate Pagoda Structures, a 15m x 25m Absolute Eclipse Structure and a 24m x 40m Absolute Premier Curve Structure.

“It’s been an amazing year for GL events,” said Toby. “The team has been busy working on many great sporting events. This project, working closely with Telegraph Events, highlights not only our ability to deliver temporary infrastructure at great sporting experiences but also our ability to support such a great brand with its flagship event.

“This project will enable the team to demonstrate its own cool tricks too as we’re installing the structures with innovative temperature control units, providing globe lighting in all retail pods and laying more than 1,800sqm of carpet. This is on top of installing high-quality fixtures and fittings such as hard PVC side walls, contemporary roof linings, integral floor systems, lockable doors and glass panels.”

This year, thousands of visitors to the The Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Show will be greeted by brand new feature areas and immersive experiences. The show will host a ski village complete with snow-coated trees, a selection of alpine food, busy après ski bars the Altitude Comedy Tent and Mountain Talks Theatre.
