GL events Owen Brown made its Cheltenham Festival this March with two prominent structures that combine horses, hospitality and high fashion. The four-day racing festival, which includes Ladies Day and St Patrick’s Day celebrations, culminates with the Gold Cup race.

Owen Brown was asked to create the Parade Ring Garden Bar, utilising a double deck structure from its Absolute range, with two sides of the structure completely glazed on both floors to afford excellent views of the Parade Ring, right in the heart of the action. The 360 square metre building  is used as a media facility for journalists from all over the world, with an exclusive bar on the ground floor and the media centre on the top floor.

Away from the racing, Owen Brown has further provided an Atrium structure from its Premier range for an exclusive designer fashion show in the Horseshoe Hospitality Village. With a catwalk running through the centre of the 280 plus square metre structure, fashionistas can enjoy a clear view from both inside and out as the building has windows on three sides to ensure no one misses out on seeing the designer outfits on offer.

Keith Bishop, Director at Owen Brown, said: “Owen Brown is no stranger to creating fantastic structures for various uses at racecourses across the UK. We have worked with some of the biggest events in the racing calendar including Royal Ascot, Epsom Derby and the May Festival at Chester Racecourse. We are delighted to be able to add the Cheltenham Festival to our portfolio and hope we can build on this in the years to come.”
