GL events Owen Brown found itself in good company as it shared in Team Europe’s success at the Ryder Cup at the Gleneagles Golf Resort, Scotland.

Taking over 2 months to build, the trio of state of the art single, double and triple deck structures at the first hole provided stunning hospitality facilities offering guests  superb views of the PGA Centenary Course.

VIPs and guests at the Argyll Pavilion took advantage of the sunny conditions and the spacious balconies to make sure they didn’t miss a minute of the action as the two teams teed off.

Edward Kitson, Ryder Cup Match Director, commented: “We are delighted to be working with Owen Brown at The Ryder Cup.  The hospitality structures overlooking the golf course will have unrivalled panoramic views and form a spectacular backdrop for our guests.”

Scott Hayward, Managing Director of GL events UK Group, said: “What a fantastic event for all involved, not just the players. It was amazing to be a part of such an auspicious event in the sporting calendar.”

GL events’ partner Field & Lawn Limited, also supplied the infrastructure for the public facilities such as walk ways, courtesy bus terminals and the waiting areas for the ‘park and ride’ facilities throughout the tournament that was attended by over 200,000 sporting enthusiasts; a far cry from when Watson made his Ryder Cup debut in 1977 when there weren’t even any grandstands and the small number of spectators could easily be contained by a simple gallery rope.
