GL events secures partnership with Lancashire County Cricket Club

GL events has secured an agreement with Lancashire County Cricket Club that will see its existing partnership extended for a further three years. The company supplies stadium seating that increases the ground’s capacity by up to 5,588 seats, and will do so until 2019 as the Club continues to grow its match day audiences.

The partnership began in 2014, and sees GL events creating high quality seating grandstands, as well as platforms for disabled spectators, that not only extend the capacity of the ground, but also create additional infrastructure that allows spectators closer access to facilities and conveniences.

This latest partnership is one of a series of contracts won and retained by GL events’ seating and stadia team. The business continues to deliver solutions for Aegon Tennis, Royal Ascot, Donnington Race Circuit and the Royal International Air Tattoo, often working in partnership with GL events’ temporary structure and marquee teams to create temporary infrastructure throughout some of the biggest global events held in the UK.

“We like working with GL events, the product is the best around and we have got to know the team there really well,” commented Anthony Mundy, Lancashire County Cricket Club’s Operations Director. “They have excellent project managers and delivery teams who know our ground well, are organised, and agile enough to meet the needs of the Club and our fans. We’re looking forward to working with them for the next few years at least.”

“This is another great partnership for us and one that we’re exceptionally proud to have,” commented Scott Jameson, Managing Director, GL events. “It’s testament to the team we have delivering at Lancashire County Cricket Club and the excellent relationships we have there. They are a Club that clearly wants the very best for their spectators and we’re delighted to support them.”
