GL events UK has secured a four-year agreement to provide temporary structures for the European Tour, which staged the HNA Open de France at Le Golf National from 29 June 29 – 2 July 2017.

The partnership was confirmed to run from 2017 to 2020 and will see GL events supply the event’s main double-deck structure, providing premium hospitality alongside the 18th green for golf fans in France. It will also deliver the sponsor areas, media centre and players’ lounges within a temporary event village that hosts more than 40 exhibition and retail units, restaurants and public bars.

The European Tour will draw on the company’s extensive experience within major sporting events, including its many partnerships in the world of golf, to help enhance fans’ experience at its second Rolex Series event of the year.

The news follows on from a number of high profile wins for GL events in the festival and exhibition market, and this latest partnership with the HNA Open de France underlines the company’s global strength in high-profile, major sporting events.

“We wanted to look at getting a better quality product at the event this year, with new styles of infrastructure and different ways of working,” commented Richard Atkinson – Open de France Championship Director at the European Tour. “GL events has great products and a prestigious history in installing infrastructure at some of the biggest sporting events on the planet. GL events was the ideal choice to fulfil this brief.”

“We’re incredibly ambitious as a business and want to be at every major sporting event in the UK and around the world,” commented Scott Jameson, GL events UK Group Managing Director. “The chance to work with the European Tour at the HNA Open de France, fulfilling its temporary infrastructure ambitions for the event, is a significant reward for us. We welcome the European Tour’s belief in our ability to take the event to the next level.”
