New Wine’s annual conference and Soul Survivor both required marquees in the Royal Bath & West Showground.
Every summer, thousands of church leaders and worshippers from all over the country descend on the Royal Bath and West Showground for church organisation, New Wine’s, annual conference, while younger church-goers flock to Christian charity, Soul Survivor’s, 14-day music and worship festival, which is incorporated into the main event.
New Wine and Soul Survivor used a wide range of clearspan marquees and temporary structures from GL events Snowdens and also from our sister company, GL events Owen Brown.
We provided giant structures, traditional pole marquees and clearspan, aluminium-framed marquees for a host of different uses, including cafes, a food court and seminar space.
Notable temporary structures included:
- Craft Area- 1 x 30ft by 110ft traditional pole marquee
- Food Court – 1 x 500sqm clearspan aluminium- framed clearspan marquee
- Bible Society Cafe – 1 x 16m x 30m blackout frame marquee
Building everything for a gathering the size of New Wine is a challenge in itself, but the biggest challenge is the preparation for the Soul Survivor event, which requires us to take a number of event structures down and install more – all in just three days.
Once again, New Wine and Soul Survivor were a great success. At one stage there were around 50 workers on site from Snowdens and Owen Brown to handle the changeover in the run-up to Soul Survivor, but due to our experience of working on large scale events, everything went smoothly and we are looking forward
to next year.
