The [Event Supplier and Services Association ](https://www.essa.uk.com/) (ESSA) Sustainability Accreditation is an evidence focused, points based standard, the criteria for which has been delivered in collaboration with the ESSA Sustainability Working Group, and the Cross-Association Sustainability Working Group. It aligns with current industry standards, cross-association commitments, the net-zero events initiative, and ISO standards like 140001 and 20121 (to which GL events UK is already certified). GL events UK CEO, Scott Jameson commented, “*As a UK business, we have been working hard to understand, map and communicate on the environmental impact of our operations – creating a reliable benchmark from which to focus on minimising emissions in key areas, across all three scopes.* *“Our ESSA Accreditation is welcome outward recognition of this work – and we are excited to build on this foundation in the coming year and achieve even more.
