This year at The Showman’s Show, GL events UK and Stand Out magazine are partnering with Powerful Thinking to contribute to the campaign’s programme of sustainability led content at the event.
As part of the two-day programme of educational content, GL events UK will be hosting a round table discussion on ‘Legacy’, bringing together some of the leading figures in the events community, to understand steps the industry is taking, and could be taking, to create powerful legacies in local communities and environments, post event.
Taking place at 11am at the GL events UK stand (stand 160), and Chaired by Chris Johnson, Chair of the Powerful Thinking industry think-tank, the discussion will look to tackle the following questions:
- How important is legacy to organisers of major events?
- What activities can events, in partnership with production support businesses, do to create lasting legacy?
- What best practice examples are there of this in action?
- How can this be offset against some of the negative impacts that events create?
