Jockey Club Racecourses expands GL events remit

Jockey Club Racecourses has expanded its partnership with GL events as the brand looks to build on the quality and breadth of temporary structures across its courses in readiness for some of the biggest race meets of the year.

Last year the agreement saw GL events deliver across both Cheltenham and Epsom racecourses throughout the season; however, the 2016/17 season will see over 50 per cent growth on the builds at both courses, with the Cheltenham Festival providing a focal point for some of the best examples of temporary structures available in the UK today.

“These are the best structures we have in the business and are finished to an exceptionally high standard,” comments Scott Jameson, Managing Director, GL events. “We invested heavily in our materials last year meaning we can produce structures with an exceptional finish for premium hospitality of this kind. It’s one of the reasons we continue to grow our partnership with Jockey Club Racecourses, and we’re incredibly proud of the work we do together.”

GL events will be building structures for the media centre, food court, chalet hospitality and corporate hospitality at Cheltenham, as well as a number of trade stand areas on the racecourse. The structures will range from small boutique areas, to multi-layer double and triple deck venues, providing elevated views.

Each of the structures will include the latest technology, and will feature bespoke cladding and stately windows that allow the sunshine to flood in. The partnership with The Jockey Club will see delivery of best in class structures at Cheltenham and Epsom throughout the Summer.
