GL events is celebrating 20 years of partnership with leading Christmas party producer, Best Parties Ever.

The supplier of temporary event buildings has supported Best Parties Ever, which hosts exhilarating Christmas parties, since 1996. The partnership has led to great success: last year GL events’ impressive structures made it possible for Best Parties Ever to entertain more than 176,000 guests, who enjoyed festivities at a range of spectacularly themed venues throughout the UK.

The temporary party venue structures supplied vary from venue to venue, with the GL events team typically creating between 1,500 and 2,000sqm of event space per venue. Our temporary buildings are constructed from highly durable materials, including secure glass as well as the latest safety features and fire exits.

The temporary party venues feature three key areas:

• An entrance lobby, including a cloakroom and washrooms
• A main central structure, which is subdivided into bar and dining areas
• A back-of-house zone with a large kitchen and storage area

Additional breakout areas, including a photography studio and smoking area are linked to the main structure.

Best Parties Ever unveils a range of new and dramatic themes every year. These present GL events with constant new challenges, which include impressive set-work, and themed panelling to the façade and internal walls. To deliver the client’s entertainment and audio-visual expectations, our solutions incorporate high-tolerance weight loading, allowing rafters to support high-specification, intelligent lighting rigs as well as aerial performers.

One secret to the success of this partnership is careful planning, with initial discussions taking place at the beginning of each year. Another is GL events’ receptiveness to the client’s creativity and willingness to suggest new complimentary structural features and roof profiles to evoke moods and enhance the event’s theme.
