Here in the UK, GL events is a partner at Evolution London, formerly Battersea Evolution. It is responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of this dynamic, purpose-built semi-permanent venue, which offers a unique events space within Battersea Park, in the heart of London.
For 20 years, GL events UK has been instrumental in the development of the Evolution London site and structure which was, until 2019, a temporary events space, installed for 10 months of the year before being dismantled and recreated the following year.
The popularity of the venue, as well as growing demand to hold events year-round with wider potential, led to the granting of planning permission to develop the space. Evolution London will now be a permanent, more sustainable fixture over the next four years.
Today, the brand new expanded and improved Evolution London offers an incredibly flexible, versatile and functional 5,650sqm, 8m-high blank canvas. Latest additions include an even more welcoming entrance with new floor-to-ceiling glass panels, as well as upgraded lighting, better production facilities, enhanced layout opportunities and improved facilities throughout.
Having historically hosted a portfolio of spectacular, high-profile events including the Sport Industry Awards and The Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Festival, Evolution London can be configured and transformed in countless ways to create all kinds of live and televised events, from award ceremonies, dinners and parties, through to conferences, product launches and exhibitions.
The venue offers event producers an unrivalled technical production specification, as well as the ease and convenience of one level load-in, truck parking next to the venue, and the flexibility of a quick and efficient 24-hour build time.
