The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials once again proved a great success with the main sponsor using one of the temporary structures provided by GL events Snowdens to showcase its latest model.

GL events Snowdens created around 14,000 square metres of space for the four-day equestrian festival including the member’s enclosure, a dog crèche, various trade stands and hospitality areas, including the one used by Land Rover.

On the opening day, Land Rover revealed the new Discovery Sport to its guests by driving the vehicle straight onto a purpose built platform in the hospitality structure.

Keith Bishop, Director of GL events Snowdens, said: “It was quite a spectacle and the guests were clearly delighted. There was a lot of effort made to ensure the grand reveal happened at exactly the right time.”

As an official temporary structure provider to Burghley Horse Trials, Snowdens created 26 different areas over the Estate using a mix of the UK groups Absolute and Premier range as well as traditional pole marquees, pagodas and aluminium frame tents.

History was made at The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials when Andrew Nicholson and Avebury won their third consecutive Land Rover Burghley title. There were also appearances from the Princess Royal and her daughter Zara Philips who competed in the event.
