GL events UK has hired a Group Quality Manager to continue the company’s ambition to offer the very finest quality in the industry, throughout every facet of the group’s operations. Steve Collins joins the business in the role, reporting to Managing Director, Scott Jameson, and brings with him experience working for brands including BA Systems, telent, Marconi and Vinci Construction operating in the highly regulated rail, highways, telecom and construction sectors.
As well as having an extensive background as a Project Manager, Steve also has exceptional experience in system assurance and was recently awarded ‘Registered Project Professional’ status by the Association of Project Managers. Steve will work both within GL events UK and in partnership with our partners and supply chain, critical to the success of our business.
A focus on quality has been central to the DNA of the business for some time, and comes from the board of GL events UK. Earlier this year, the company launched a manifesto, demonstrating how the company will ensure the highest standards of quality, across the business, from on-site project management, maintenance, and even the quality of accounting and invoicing procedures.
“We’ve spoken a lot about quality in the industry and it’s an easy thing to claim,” comments Scott Jameson, GL events UK Group Managing Director.
“We’re constantly seeing returns on this commitment, with positive client feedback, renewed contracts and long-term relationships. Now we’ve taken an industry leading step to bring in someone with specific skills to continuously improve and to represent quality across our business.”
“It’s a real pleasure to be joining a business that so obviously recognises the importance of the customer experience and does so from the very top of the organisation,” commented Steve.
“We have established the fundamentals of monitoring our performance, now I’m really keen to look closer at our processes, so we can continue to strive towards even greater quality. It’s a really exciting time to be joining the organisation.”
