Ryder Cup becomes latest golfing partner for GL events

GL events UK has once again strengthened its credentials in world-class sport, and specifically golf, with the agreement of a new partnership with the Ryder Cup. The news follows recent agreements with The Open and Open de France, and will see the delivery of a combination of temporary structures and spectator seating infrastructure by GL events at future events.

The business has a long history of partnership with the premier match play tournament, supporting the event’s 2010 (Celtic Manor) and 2014 (Gleneagles) visits to Europe. Now GL events will support the Ryder Cup’s return to Le Golf National in France in 2018; providing a range of triple- and double-deck structures throughout the hospitality areas, among a wide and diverse range of temporary structures installed throughout the event.

The company will also provide premium tiered seating grandstands for more than 15,000 spectators at the event, again underlining GL events UK’s outstanding credentials in seating and stadia.

“We have unmatched experience in golf events and are proud to be working on some of the biggest global brands around,” commented Scott Jameson, GL events UK Group Managing Director. “We’re on an extraordinary run of new partnerships with outstanding clients, all of whom are looking for a higher standard of delivery and service. This is a real pat on the back for our team and we’re really motivated to play our part in some spectacular events to come.”
