Each year, for the Six Nations Rugby, the area surrounding Twickenham Stadium transforms into a rugby fans’ paradise. Part of what makes the matches so special is the pre-match hospitality that is available to fans from all walks of life.

For over 25 years GL events Owen Brown has supplied the RFU’s Official Hospitality partners with the temporary structures and infrastructure required for pre-match hospitality.

Every piece of land and free space surround Twickenham is utilised as plots for these temporary hospitality facilities. Including the playing fields and playground at the Chase Bridge and the Cardinal Vaughan schools, the car park of a self-storage unit which becomes the ‘Orchard Enclosure’ for the duration of the games and the cricket pitch at Kneller Hall-The Royal Military School of Music. All sites are just half a mile away from Twickenham Stadium and represent cost-effective option for fans that are unable to book hospitality space within the stadium itself.

This year for the England Vs Wales and England Vs Ireland Internationals Owen Brown will supply in excess of 5,500sqm of temporary structures at these sites. The structures are transformed into private dining suites, all fitted with their own entrance doors, as well as supporting kitchens, bars and offices.

“We are always pleased to be part of the fantastic Rugby events that are held at Twickenham in the spring and autumn. Some of the sites do cause some challenges as you can imagine working at Schools and Military Bases. However each year the outcome keeps improving, and the hospitality our clients put on each year is ever evolving as well.” James Anderson, Commercial Director
