GL events Owen Brown made sure ice skaters of all ages didn’t feel the chill last December as they provided marquees for Temporary ice rinks at ten different locations around the country, including the iconic London Eye and Selfridges at the Trafford Centre.
Working with the rink provider, Owen Brown installed structures, ranging from 200 square metres and upwards, that were used by visitors for changing into their skates, storing shoes and a viewing area for those who feel safer on a less slippy surface.
The Trafford Centre’s ice rink, one of the sites with a larger structure, also had an additional marquee, both furnished with a clear roof so skaters could enjoy the ice under the stars.
As well as the structures themselves, Owen Brown also supplied its specialist flooring system for the rinks to use as a foundation and scaffolding system to those locations that need to create an even surface.
James Anderson, Commercial Director at Owen Brown, said: “This is a great example of how we can work in partnership with suppliers to provide a total solution that meets the clients’ objectives and gives the public a great feature to enjoy.”
