GL events and Silverstone have worked together for over 70 years, providing temporary structures for Formula 1 Grand Prix’s since 1950!
Last week, together with Event Production Network and Stand Out magazine, we hosted a behind the scenes day at the track, giving event professionals the opportunity to see what’s involved in the build up to Silverstone’s biggest event of the year.
Trackside Networking and Exclusive Access
We kicked off the day with lunch and networking at Escapade, the onsite restaurant operated by Silverstone. Guests then toured The Residences, a fantastic new hotel experience, with an unbeatable, track side view of the action!
Next, we toured several GL events structures UK structures across the site: the Ignition, Octane and Fusion hospitality lounges. Each offers a different type of hospitality experience, from Octane with its festival-style, family atmosphere to Fusion’s premium setting, often visited by F1 drivers.
Why we hosted the day
This special day was all about creating a unique space for conversation, collaboration, and inspiration. Working together with Silverstone, Stand Out and EPN, we offered an exclusive look at the scope of services Silverstone can provide and showcased the scale and capabilities of GL events, while giving event professionals the opportunity to connect, share ideas, and explore how top-tier temporary infrastructure comes together behind the scenes.
The day was a huge success and we’re looking forward to hosting another similar day in the future.
