The beginning of May saw GL events Owen Brown heading to Chester Racecourse, whose annual May Festival proved to be a fitting way for us to begin another busy year supplying the cream of the UK’s race meetings.

The three day festival, is one of the best-loved events in the North-West and was the 13th year that they have supplied temporary structures for its hospitality offering.

Owen Brown created a village of hospitality chalets, made up of 19 individual SmartSystem temporary structures in a range of sizes, fully fitted with flooring, interior linings, carpeting and attractive blue and white canopies.

In addition they supplied temporary structures to house the kitchens and toilets and provided an exclusive entrance to the hospitality village in the shape of a 100sqm Absolute temporary structure, fitted with glass double doors to welcome guests in style.

Thanks to the structure’s position right next to the track, the guests need never have missed any of the action, which drew to a close on day three with their own race, the GL events Owen Brown Handicap, won by Red Runaway, ridden by Phillip Makin.

Scott Hayward, Managing Director of Owen Brown, said: “We have a full summer ahead supplying a host of top race meetings and as ever it was a pleasure to begin our programme at Chester Racecourse’s May festival.

“Not only did the chalets look smart and attractive, their proximity to the track meant that they were extremely popular for the duration of the festival.
