For two weeks in May, the French Riviera rolled out the red carpet for the 65th Cannes Film Festival – and GL events was there to play a starring role.

Making its 18th appearance at the iconic festival, GL events provided 6,250sqm of temporary structures, including the Marché du Film, the festival’s all-important business venue, where, among the workshops and networking, producers meet with film industry executives to pitch ideas and secure funding.

For relaxing VIPs, GL events also laid out and decorated the Plage des Palmes and the Cafe des Palmes and Salon des Ambassadeurs, both within the Palais des Festivals et des Congres, while it also provided further partitions, lighting, carpeting, signage and furniture for both the Palais and the Riviera.

It also supplied a host of temporary structures for lunch and dinner functions while, elsewhere along Cannes’ famous Croisette promenade, more GL events structures took pride of place on the beach and on the square.

Finally, by the old port, in the Village International – Pantiero, GL events provided yet more pavilions, complete with partitions, furniture, electrical connection and air conditioning.
