GL events UK will uphold its excellent reputation within the athletic and sporting event industry, delivering infrastructure for The Ultimate Strongman event this weekend. The strength and endurance sport forms part of a summer of live athletic events partnering GL events this year.
As well as the strong man competition, the company, which partnered with the Muller Anniversary Games, 20-21 July 2019, at the Olympic Stadium, London, will also support the Muller Grand Prix and the British Athletics Championships, Alexander Stadium, Birmingham. This will build upon the company’s recent athletic experience at the European Championships, Glasgow, last year, as well as the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London.
Channel 5’s UK’s Strongest Man takes place 26th-28th July and will be filmed and aired by the broadcaster. Beginning as a live to air TV format, the event has grown into a weekend-long family event featuring live music, free kids’ entertainment, and food and drink.
GL events will provide a total of 3,131 tiered spectator seats for the event, across two premium seating grandstands and one VIP seating area, which will feature the Peregrine, GL event’s latest product, a stylish, integrated grandstand cover with a curved roof.
The event is the ‘toughest strongman competition in the world’, featuring 16 strongmen from across the UK and Ireland coming together to pull trucks, flip giant tires, lift the world-famous stones and much, much more in this action-packed show for all the family.
