Hay Festival enjoyed another successful event last month, with increased infrastructure delivered by GL events UK contributing to another memorable visitor experience for the thousands of attendees that came to the festival.
This year, as the contract enters its 10th year, organisers of the festival took the decision to upgrade audience seating throughout the festival, to offer greater comfort for spectators. GL events was asked to deliver the infrastructure needed to achieve this, installing 5,000 of its own premium-standard tiered and flat-floor seats. This was on top of its existing infrastructure brief, which included the creation of the Hay Festival’s vast and diverse temporary event ‘village’.

Hay Festival is the world’s leading festival of ideas, bringing readers and writers together to share stories in sustainable live events across the globe. This year’s UK event saw more than 600 award-winning writers, global policy-makers, pioneers, innovators, comedians and musicians take part.
