A Greener Festival’s Claire O’Neil is one of a number of high profile event industry spokespeople to contribute to GL events UK’s Guide to ‘Good’ Events, which was launched last week. Claire joins experts Nick Morgan, We Are the Fair, Selena Donald, The Bulb and Kate Sandle, B Lab UK.

The Good Event Guide is a ‘smorgasbord’ of advice, articles, tips and information that event organisers can use to gain inspiration on how they can make their event ‘good’; for communities, the environment, and others. In one of the key articles in the guide Claire includes insight and tips around everything from ‘Local Impacts and Ecosystems’, to ‘C02 Analysis’, and from ‘Water Usage’ to ‘Power’.

“Approaching green issues needs to be holistic, but it’s important that actions are measured and reviewed so the organisation is having the impact that they intended to have,” commented Claire. “There is a section on basic organisation and documentation, as it’s often this process that makes everything else happen easily and more efficiently.”

“Approaching green issues needs to be holistic, but it’s important that actions are measured and reviewed so the organisation knows they’re having the desired impact,” commented Claire. “There is a section also based on our AGF Award assessments on basic organisation and documentation, as its often this process that makes everything else happen easily and more efficiently.”

“At GL events UK we don’t try and be experts in everything, but we try and bring as many of them as possible to the table so they can share their insight with us and everyone else in the industry” commented Rachel Baker, GL events UK Group Marketing Manager. “Claire has done an amazing job with A Greener Festival and has so much to offer event professionals who are looking to take steps to be greener, and altogether more considerate. She’s produced some really great stuff for the guide; well worth a read.”
