Events industry white papers, research and guidance

At GL events, we wholeheartedly love what we do. We exist to solve problems, create solutions and enable events professionals through our contribution to outstanding events.

For us, the success of our business is directly related to the success of our industry and of our clients. We know that we’re able to do what we love because of the fantastic people, innovation, creativity and pride that drive our events industry, both in the UK and around the world. For this reason, we see ourselves as partners and stakeholders in events’ growth and success. We’re dedicated to the progress and security of our industry’s future; which is why we’ve become increasingly involved in the development of the events industry.

This was our motivation for taking our membership of the National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) to the next level, beyond simply holding its logo as a hallmark of quality. We became the first Futures Supporter of the association, with the aim of working alongside NOEA to create and secure a better, forward-thinking future for the industry.

One of the key areas in which we are supporting NOEA is its Commercialisation Project, an initiative which aims to reward good business practice and to prioritise greater commercial reward for the event professionals creating the experiences that benefit event-goers every day. This sees GL events utilising our resources, knowledge and experience to speak up within and on behalf of the events industry, for the good of the industry.

Equally, while we’re committed to assisting event professionals today; we’re also helping to understand and prepare for the industry’s future. As part of this commitment we’re working with industry media partners and trade associations to conduct regular research among events industry professionals. We’re also talking to event professionals within our network to better understand the legislative, social and economic challenges and opportunities encountered by our industry.

We’re happy to share the findings of our research, and we’re here to help. Whether that means assisting organisers of fledgling events with advice and practical support; or joining forces with event professionals to forecast the future of our industry, we want to play an active part in the discussion. We invite you to download our white papers, research and guidance publications and, most of all, to join the conversation.
